Automatic Design of Sections
The program can automatically find the most suitable column section and reinforcement for a given set of loads.
The Auto Design options can be used to control the way the way design solution is found and in the order in which the dimensions and reinforcement are changed.
User can also specify the minimum and maximum values of various parameters and the increment to be used. The Auto design can also include the evaluation of slenderness effects.
Stress-Strain for Given Loads
The strains and stresses in concrete and reinforcement can be computed for a give set of loads, including the direction and location of the neutral axis.
This is determined through moment-curvature solution.
This solution is not based on assumed failure criterion, but rather determined from equilibrium of external forces and internal stress resultants.
